Girl Scout Helpers
|

Girl Scout Troop 73712 (14 year old Cadettes) are ready, willing and able to assist Daisy, Brownie and Junior
troops with activities. For those that might have attended last year, these scouts ran the Brownie Math Fun
Event at Camp Rice Moody and have also run events in prior years. They have worked in Wilmington at the Jewelry
store assisting scout troops who were earning the jewelry badge. They are available as individuals and in teams
(depending on the date). There are leaders in Reading who will provide references in regards to the maturity level
of these scouts. To find out more, e-mail the troop at cadettegirlscouts@gmail.com.

report. These forms
and guidelines
are also available at the GSEM website.

New Troop Resources

Resources for new Brownie and Daisy Troops have been posted on the web site. Click for
Daisy Troops or
Brownie Troops.
How do I use the new Journey books with everything else I've been planning with the girls?
At this link you will find maps for each level, which guide the volunteer in
using the Journey series and linking them to the traditional activities of Girl
Scouting. GSEM is working to get a link to this directly from their website; in the
meantime, you can simply use following url:

Reading Girl Scout Achievement Award
|
|
Recipients of the achievement award are Reading Girl Scouts. The Achievement Award committee is
once again requesting that Reading troops consider a donation of 2 cents per box of cookies sold. A
flyer describing this request is located here.
For example, if a troop sells 100 boxes, we are hoping that the troop would make a $2.00 donation
to the fund. Donations may be forwarded to: Girl Scout Achievement Award Committee, c/o Michelle Kramer,
19 Knollwood Rd, Reading, MA 01867. Click here
for award application which is due April 15, 2010.

2010 Sights of Reading Calendars
|
Troop 73712 photographed, created and sold the 2010 Sights of Reading Calendar to raise money to
fund our Silver Award project. THANKS to everyone who purchased a calendar! We really appreciate it.
We do have a few left and we do not want to just toss them in the landfill or use them as fire starters.
Calendars are now 1/2 price - $7.50! Send your order to Girl Scout Troop 73712 at 19 Knollwood
Road in Reading and we will deliver it to you free of charge in Reading. If someone outside Reading
would like one, please include $2.00 for shipping.
We understand that the current economy is affecting many of our Girl Scout families. If you would
like a calendar but cannot make the $7.50 donation, just send us your order form and we are happy to
provide you with a calendar. We prefer to have them hanging in homes and not in the landfill.
The link to see the photos on the calendar is
